thomas brenner

On August 25, 1857, Charles Lefranc acknowledged receiving six hundred dollars from Maria Adele Thée of Santa Clara County and assigned her an undivided half interest in rights he held under a sheriff’s certificate. The manuscript names her as the payer and recipient of purchased rights, offering a concrete early commercial record for the LeFranc–Thée inquiry.
